| This book is adapted from the film by Cathy East Dubowski. A toy's secret life... Woody, a traditional pull string cowboy doll, has always been Andy's favorite toy. Woody's life is about to change, however with the arrival of Buzz Lightyear, the latest greatest space ranger action figure. Every toy's greatest fear is to be replaced in its owner's affections by a newer, better toy. For the fist time in his life Woody has to deal with this situation. He plots to get rid of Buzz but his plans back-fire and he finds himself lost in the outside world with the space ranger as his only companion. Trying to find their way home, the rivals set out on an adventure that leads them to a toy's worst nightmare. Sid's bedroom where Sid dismembers and reassembles "mutant" toys. Woody and Buzz become uneasy allies in their attempt to escape the evil Sid. the realize that only through mutual trust and respect do they have any chance of survival.
