| Thomas the tank engine Duke Ertl MOC V.Rare I believe this to be Die Cast metal but the card does not say so. This comes on Collector Card number 47. It says on the back of this card: The oldest of the Narrow Gauge engines and so the most experienced. He enjoys teaching the others the proper way to do things and often talks about the Good Old Days when rules and regulations were obeyed. Despite his head teacher attitude he is gentle and kind to younger engines, but maintains his authority at all times. Historical Note: Duke is based on an 0-4-0 saddle tank engine. It was built in London by George England in 1863, and was designed to bring slate wagons from quarries to the coast. This is carded and is in mint condition except a couple of minor imperfections to the card . Never Played with. Never taken out of this card. If your little one is a Thomas the Tank fan, take this opportunity to pick up his or her favorite characters -- it's fun to act out the stories or play along with Tho |
